Coworker Testimonials
User advocacy and empathy are the “core” of Angela’s UX superpowers, and one that is always growing and finding a stronger voice. Each year, she becomes a more mature figure in the space due to her solid fundamental of a user-focused compass.
Angela uses her strong empathetic foundation to positively shape the UX community as a mentor, mentee, and as an influencer in the professional space.
Angela is known as being dependable and knowledgeable for the projects that she supports. She has good time-management skills and is very often dealing with multiple design requests at once. This is not something that everyone can successfully manage, but it is one of Angela’s strengths.
A lot of praise for Angela revolves around all the great “stuff” that surrounds her design work, but it would be remiss of me to not mention her design and creativity, too. She produces exceptional design deliverables, using her creativity to drive new ideas and push for data-driven decisions.
Angela is consistently able to produce quality work both as a lone-designer or part of a design team. That’s called range.
…She is coming into her own as a UX figure with the power to influence her products… Strong passion to create the best product for the user. Angela doesn’t just talk the talk; she walks the walk by volunteering to go the extra mile. Extra design studies, additional user testing, educating herself on the relevant data, and much more. Angela wants to ensure that no stone is left unturned if it has the potential to improve the user’s experience… Powerful sense of empathy and inclusion. She advocates for the definition of the “everyday” user to include “EVERY” user. Angela is very grounding in the sense that she constantly reminds us just who the end user could be, across a wide range of demographics and types of ability.
Angela has a talent for design. She's able to whip up good presentations and great UI in the blink of an eye, and also has great ideas for user research. She's also always down to to help out with design, weather its doing random things for the Garage, or even helping her coworkers on random side projects. Lastly, she's super fun and a good person. Even though she wears all black, her heart is full of warm colors.
Angela is super social and inclusive of everyone on the team. She's also relatively fearless and always seems to know what she's doing for UX, and her confidence really rubs off on the rest of the team
You are a talented designer! Who nerds out about user experience and the user journey all the time -- and it's so cool.
You are super smart, and I like asking you questions because you not only give insightful answers, but also genuinely consider other perspectives on the issue.
